At ReconInsight, I worked as a software engineering intern, where I developed a mapping tool to be integrated into ReconInsight’s RI360 data analytics platform. The mapping tool I created allows clients in the retail, telecommunications, and related industries to effectively visualize and interact with their data on a geographic map. The tool allows a user to visualize data on a variety of different user-selectable map types, including choropleth maps, discrete maps, and heat maps. Starting from a nation-wide view of the data, the tool allows a user to drill down on different geographic areas and to view the data at different levels, such as a “state” level, a “county” level or even a “street” level.

Outside of work and school, I am also very active. One reason I chose to attend school in Colorado is the prevalence of outdoor sports. I have been involved in competitive snowboard racing – a winter sport - since I was 11 years old. With the opportunity to also spend my summers in Colorado, I am experimenting with other sports and activities, including outdoor climbing, mountain biking, camping, white water rafting, and kayaking. I am a firm believer that being active not only promotes a healthy lifestyle, but also encourages a stronger work ethic and passion for achieving my goals.
